General Site Policies

• A staff member will be on call throughout your event to assist you and answer questions.
• You may choose from our list of approved caterers.
• You are required to have a certificate of insurance naming the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance as additionally insured. This is available from your insurance company, and typically costs about $100.
• Please contact Beth Johnson for a complete list of our rental policies and procedures.

Barney Ford House Museum

Mature evergreens and cottonwoods on the 1882 Barney Ford House Museum lawn provide the perfect outdoor setting for a private party, wedding reception or ceremony.

• Located ½ block off of Breckenridge's historic Main Street.
• Available late-May through mid-September.
• The Museum lawn can accommodate groups up to 150 in size.
• The site rental fee ranges from $200-$1,000. For a wedding ceremony only on the Museum lawn, the fee is $200. For an event or reception, the rental fee ranges from $500-$1,000, depending on the number of people in attendance. These fees include the use of the Museum facilities. Tent rental (recommended) is an additional fee.
• Our recommended caterer is Hearthstone Catering (with a link to www.hearthstonecatering.com). They can also make rental arrangements (tent, chairs, tables, etc.) for your event.
• Parking available in the Barney Ford House lot and on town streets.

Lomax Place Mine

Have your special event on a historic mining camp. The Lomax Placer Mine was an active mining operation in the 1860s and the current interpretive site includes a miner's cabin, an assay office, a small museum and original mining equipment. It is located along a stream near Breckenridge's downtown area on Ski Hill Rd.

• Available early-June through early-September.
• Ideal for family reunions, rehearsal dinners and informal wedding receptions.
• Located approximately .25 miles from Main Street on Ski Hill Rd.
• The Lomax Placer Mine site can accommodate groups up to 75 in size.
• Rental fee is $250/day which includes use of the buildings and restrooms on site. Tent rental (recommended) is an additional fee.
• Our recommended caterer is Hearthstone Catering.
• Parking available on site.

William H. Briggle House

In the late 1800's, the Briggle House was one of Breckenridge's nicest homes. The six-room home has been restored to its original Victorian style. It is an ideal location for small groups seeking a unique, historic setting.

• The Briggle House can accommodate groups up to 25 in size.
• Available year-round.
• Ideal for small group functions, wedding ceremonies and corporate meetings
• Located in the downtown historic district, three blocks off Main Street
• Site fee is $250/day.
