About the tour

This downtown stroll explores the seedier side of Breckenridge history.  You will learn local saloon lore, from madams and mayhem to murder, from rot-gut whiskey to the goings-on of the red light district.  Throw one back in the tasting room of Breckenridge’s award-winning distillery and enjoy this tour through time in Bawdy Breckenridge of the 19th century!

What to expect

This is a 90 minute long outdoor walking tour offered in sun, wind, and snow. It covers about six town blocks and goes up and down a few small hills. There are generally a few indoor stops into historic buildings. This tour is not a pub crawl, however, guests will have the opportunity to purchase an alcoholic beverage at one of the stops. Dressing for the weather and conditions is important. Click here for more FAQs.

Best for

Adults 21+ looking for a fun, entertaining early evening activity. This is a great tour to take before dinner in downtown Breckenridge. We do not allow children/teens on this tour due to the content and language.

What guests say

I booked a private tour ... for me and a friend and it was FABULOUS. Ronnie, OUR TOUR GUIDE, was like a page out of the old West. Sweet, entertaining and very knowledgeable. There was even a little ghost tail thrown in...ask him about "Sylvia". We highly recommend this tour.

Did you know?

Gambling was the norm in frontier towns and Breckenridge was no exception. The 1885 Colorado census listed eight gamblers and three hustlers in town. The youngest was noted as thirteen years old!
