Ski Through History Tour

About the tour

Breckenridge Ski Resort opened in 1961 with $4 lift tickets and six runs on Peak 8. During one week of the inaugural season only two paying customers skied at Breckenridge. How did the ski area grow and become one of the most popular ski destinations in the world? On the Ski Through History Tour, spend the afternoon with a knowledgeable local guide taking turns on the mountain. Our guides will share their favorite runs along with the history of the Breckenridge ski resort and where the names of ski runs came from.

What to expect

This is an on-mountain tour offered January to April. Guests must be of intermediate skill level and have their own ski equipment and lift ticket. This tour last approximately three hours. Click here for more FAQs.
